Kevin McKenzie

Founder

Kevin created Whatif? to help business leaders reimagine a better future using the power of questions. With Kevin’s guidance, leadership teams work together to unlock better leaders, teams, and growth.

Before founding Whatif? Kevin held various senior executive and client-serving roles in professional and financial services, where he earned a reputation as an inspirational leader, bold and innovative thinker, and trusted advisor.

Kevin’s professional journey has taken him across more than 20 countries, where he has directly collaborated with large corporate and entrepreneurial companies. This global exposure has enriched his understanding of leadership effectiveness, people engagement, and unique client experiences. His diverse portfolio includes developing comprehensive go-to-market strategies, client and customer engagement models, account, relationship, and opportunity development strategies, leadership team facilitation, and executive coaching and mentoring in business-to-business environments. Kevin is uniquely positioned to advise on strategy, leadership, and execution.

Kevin’s commitment to the future of leadership extends beyond his professional endeavours. He freely volunteers time to coach and mentor aspiring leaders, recognizing the immense potential of diversity. He firmly believes that while everyone possesses a unique talent, not everyone is afforded the opportunity to showcase it.

Kevin is the current Chair of the Board of Directors for Pine River Institute, a board member for Pine River Foundation, and Simcoe Peer Support for Mental Health and Addiction. He also served as Chair of the Board for the Learning Disabilities Association of Ontario.

"The world we find ourselves in makes it a daunting challenge for leadership teams to break away from the day-to-day demands of business to pause, reflect, and ask bold questions. In this hyper-paced operating environment, leaders must think and act differently to create more meaningful customer, people, and stakeholder experiences."
